If you are an aspiring writer searching for an agent or considering a writing career it is important for you to understand the business side of things.

This 2-hour session will guide you through how to get an agent, understanding options and commissions, how to develop as a writer, how to write a treatment and how to pitch a TV or Film script.

Or maybe you are a recent graduate and just need a boost, new approach and want some guidance?

The 2 hour session will focus on everything from how to select the right your headshots, putting together a strong showreel, having a clear CV, understanding your casting types, networking, how to get an agent and how to keep one, how to approach casting directors, how to handle rejection and what you can do to help your career during dry periods.

Actors attending will be asked to email their CV, headshots and showreel in advance if they have them.

  TRAINING WORKSHOPS

AN INTRODUCTION TO SCRIPTWRITING
  
This one day script writing workshop will give aspiring playwright and aspiring screenwriters the confidence to write scripts and send them off with confidence. The workshop will help provide an understanding of the craft, how to write for the different mediums and the business side of things including getting an agent and understanding option and commissions.

A maximum of 8 students may take part to allow plenty of time for questions, writing and sharing work in the session.

Attendees should bring a laptop or tablet to work off of.

-Understanding story structure and developing ideas.

-Characters and dialogue.

-Writing for different mediums TV, theatre and film.

-Professional development-finding an agent, building a CV and pitching a script.

ACTING WITH CONFIDENCE
  
This one-day acting workshop is suited to:


-actors who have graduated within the last three years and want to keep their acting skills well oiled

-actors considering drama school training

- actors who want  to regain confidence 

-actors who are returning to acting after taking years out.

The workshop will focus on making bolder choices, exploring characters, improving audition confidence and leaving a stronger impression.


-Improvisation  
-Devising 
-Text work 
-Audition: Theatre and Screen, monologues, self-tapes

Students will be asked to prepare a 2-minute monologue and material will be sent to record a self-tape prior to the class.
